These Rounds are calibrated for use in the barrel selected in the drop down options menu. As with all subs, proper cycling requires the use of a pistol length gas system for all barrel lengths. If using a suppressor, test the rounds at 10-20 ft without the suppressor to ensure the bullet stabilizes prior to using it with your can. If "keyholing" occurs, do not use with your can or damage will likely happen. A barrel twist rate of 1:7 or 1:8 both should adequately stabilize the projectile. This process should be done with any new projectile you use to prevent damage.
Due to the long and rounded shape of these bullets, Paul at Maker Bullets recommends the use of specific magazines to insure proper feeding. Although standard mags "may" work, they were not designed for the Blackout round and 95% of the time is as bad as 0% when it comes to a Personal defense or hunting situation. Paul recommends as mediocre option, the GI Metal mags that have been windowed or the best option is the Lancer L5 AWM, as they work flawlessly with all Blackout projectiles. The Lancer L5 are available at your favorite online store and also on our website. Please do not complain about feeding issues if you aren't using the Lancer Mags.
